Dog Training Collar- Know All You Need To Know About It

Dog training is very important if you consider having one as a pet. An untrained dog can be a nuisance to every one including the owner. A trained dog is a good company even in many activities such as hiking, camping or even when taking walks. Therefore if you don’t want problems with your dog get it trained and you will enjoy the results. Training increases the bonding between you and your pet. Thus whenever you walk, play or being close to your dog, you end up understanding one another. This brings out a lot of respect and since he can read your moods you degree of rapport is very high. There are some specially designed collars which are very necessary in all this. These training collars help in many ways in the process of training.

The available training collars are very efficient in instilling a well mannered behavior in your dog. Imagine your dog dragging you on the way when walking; going out of home to the neighbors to cause havoc or even pounding on your guests. Therefore it is important to choose carefully the most suitable type of collars to use for your dog. These collars eliminate these unwanted behaviors and make your pet very disciplined and lovely to be with. They include:
Choke collars. These are the most common type of collars. They contain a series of chains which are loose on the dog’s neck. However, when the dog tries to pull away from you, the collar tightens thus making the dog to choke or even cough. They should thus be used very carefully.

Electronic collars. These are not very much used. They should be applied only on extreme cases of indiscipline. Whenever the dog goes out of its limits, it is shocked. These types may also be used using a control remote.

Pinch collars. This type is similar to the chain collar above. The difference is that, instead of choking the dog, it pinches or pokes the pet at the neck thus restraining it. It is gentler than the chain option and no injuries can be caused.
With these different types of collars to restrain your dog, it is then possible as the boss to decide and control the dog according to the situation present.
