Why Does Your Dog Whine?

Just like any human being using his sound, so dogs whine sometimes due to specific reasons or no reason at all.
Why do dogs whine?

Dogs whining is very important and many people will appreciate the fact that, when he whines, it is usually not for no reason. This sounding may avert a great danger to the owner. Assume that someone has come to the door and the owner is not aware. The dog barks and tries as much as possible to attract the attention of the owner that something is happening. There are many people with personal experiences of what dog whining has at one time saved them. In any case that you ignore the dog and proceed ahead to go, the poor creatures will insist on leading the way but still barking.

Unfortunately most of them end up being attached by even wild animals while trying to protect you. May be if every one pays attention to this whining, great tragedies may be averted.

Dogs may bark or whine due to one of the following.
- As a way of communicating with other dogs or you.
- They have a voice and just as humans do, may want to use it.
- May be they need to use the toilet
- They may have seen another animal in the vicinity
- They would may be like to play
- It may suggest a case of boredom or loneliness
- They may be asking for food.

All the above reasons contribute to dogs whining, and therefore it is impossible to stop them. Just as the child cries to attract attention over something or just to play, so do dogs react to get this much needed attention. The point is; it is always important to pay attention where you may decide there is need for the respective actions. Sometime if he just wants to play, you may ignore the request but don’t send mixed reactions by accepting later on.

In other times, you may be required to do more than this. Let them stop barking, you may hold the snout tight but take care not to harm them, then talk to them in a firm way but don’t scare them. This will firmly teach them on what is wrong or right. It is almost important to take your dog for walk every day for some time. Accumulated energy in the body may cause all manner of behavior including too much barking. This is usually a tight commitment that has to be met for proper training.

Therefore, as seen whining is not all bad or good but it depends with the reason. Try to identify the reason and act accordingly. This will result into a well disciplined dog which you can be proud of.
